CLICK HERE for this trip's route map. Coinciding with both the Fall color season and the Orionids Meteor Shower, the "Mountain Peaks" ride looks to be one of the best rides of the year. Much of the route west will be on Hwy 64 to just past the Tennessee line, where I head north to Tellico Plains, to play around on and near the Cherahalla Skyway and it's many waterfalls and mountain vistas. Back into North Carolina, I head up and over Deals Gap, known as "The Dragon", back into TN across the Foothills Parkway, and over the Great Smokey Mountains National Park down into Cherokee, NC.
